After 13 years of outstanding service to the School and Board of Governors, our Chief Operating Officer (COO) will retire at the end of the school year. Kelvinside Academy, situated in the vibrant West End of Glasgow, is seeking an exceptional COO to steer the school toward new horizons. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in the continued success and development of a forward-thinking independent school with a focus on progressive pupil-centric learning at every stage and pushing beyond the boundaries of traditional academic delivery and assessment. 

The successful candidate will work in close partnership with the Rector and the Senior Leadership Team to provide strategic, HR and budgetary advice, to work closely with the Director of Admissions and Marketing, and to advise the Governing Body in the areas of policy, and in formulating and implementing the strategy for financial management, human resources, compliance, procurement, and infrastructure. 

The post calls for someone with excellent powers of leadership and team building. The COO will be directly responsible for the successful leadership and management (including line management) of the operational staff within the School. They will offer clear, effective, and consistent leadership and have the vision, creativity, and intellectual breadth to meet the challenges inherent in managing a wide-ranging portfolio of responsibilities.
