Chief Technical Accountant

My Local Government client is looking to recruit a Chief Technical Accountant into the team on a permanent basis. Reporting into the Head of Service, your role will be to deliver high quality financial advice and commercial & financial expertise to the organisation. You will take a full and proactive approach in managing & delivering timely financial and management accounting services, including all aspects of budgeting, medium & long-term financial planning, project & transformation programme support, forecasting, financial reporting & control. This will include long-term capital & resource planning for general fund, ring-fenced funds, partnership funds and the closure of the annual accounts.

To be considered for the role you will need to be a CCAB qualified accountant with Local Government experience including collection fund, budget monitoring and setting and year end closure.

This is a permanent role with circa 1 day a week in the office and with a salary of £73,000.
