Position Overview:

The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will play a pivotal role in shaping the technological direction of the organization. As an immediate member of the senior leadership team, the CTO will have significant influence over the organization’s technology strategies and operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all technology stacks and requirements, implementing robust cyber security measures, and identifying opportunities for operational efficiencies. This role requires a visionary leader with the ability to think creatively and drive technological innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

Technology Strategy and Leadership:

Develop and implement the organization’s technology strategy in alignment with business goals.

Provide leadership and direction for all technology-related projects and initiatives.

Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate technological solutions that enhance overall business performance.

Technical Management:

Oversee the management of all technology stacks and infrastructure.

Ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of the organization’s technology systems.

Lead the selection and implementation of new technologies to improve business operations and efficiencies.

Cyber Security:

Develop and enforce a comprehensive cyber security strategy to safeguard the organization’s data and systems.

Implement and manage security protocols, policies, and procedures.

Stay updated on the latest cyber security threats and ensure proactive measures are in place.

Operational Efficiency:

Identify and implement technological solutions to streamline operations and enhance productivity.

Conduct regular reviews of technology systems and processes to find areas for improvement.

Lead initiatives to reduce costs and improve efficiency through innovative technology solutions.

Team Leadership and Development:

Build and lead a high-performing technology team.

Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the technology department.

Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to understand their technology needs and provide effective solutions.

Represent the organization in technology-related discussions and negotiations with partners, vendors, and industry groups.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a CTO or in a similar senior technology leadership role, preferably within the non-for-profit or auditing sectors.

Strong understanding of various technology stacks and the ability to manage complex technology environments.

Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing cyber security strategies.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to find innovative solutions.

Strong leadership and team management skills with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

A strategic mindset with the ability to drive technological change and operational efficiencies.

A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
