Are you an experienced Registered Manager with a passion for delivering outstanding care to children and young people?
We are currently recruiting for an exciting Registered Manager opportunity in North Devon with an established and growing children's residential provider.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced manager who wants to take ownership of a home, lead a dedicated team and make a genuine difference to the lives of children and young people.
The Role
As Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and development of the children's home, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding and compliance are consistently maintained.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Taking full responsibility for the management of the home
* Leading, motivating and developing the staff team
* Ensuring children receive outstanding, individualised care
* Maintaining compliance with Ofsted regulations and relevant legislation
* Managing safeguarding concerns and ensuring appropriate action is taken
* Completing and reviewing care plans, risk assessments and other documentation
* Monitoring and improving the quality of care provided
* Managing staff recruitment, induction, supervision and development
* Working closely with social workers, families, education providers and other professionals
* Preparing for and supporting Ofsted inspections
* Managing budgets and resources effectively
* Promoting a positive, child-centred culture throughout the home
About You
We are looking for an experienced children's residential professional who:
* Has previous experience as a Registered Manager, Deputy Manager or senior management professional
* Has a strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and children's residential care
* Holds a relevant Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management for Children and Young People's Services, or is working towards this
* Has strong leadership and people-management skills
* Understands safeguarding and regulatory compliance
* Is confident managing a team and dealing with challenging situations
* Has excellent communication and organisational skills
* Is passionate about achieving the best possible outcomes for children and young people
