Location: Kettering

Salary: Up to £60,000 + £5,000 Joining Bonus + Quarterly Bonuses

Work Hours: 40 hours per week (Full-Time, Permanent)

Are You Ready to Build Something Extraordinary?

Our lovely client is a family-run organisation with deep roots in compassionate care, opening a brand-new, purpose-built children’s home in Kettering for young people with emotional and learning disabilities (EBD/LD). This is a rare opportunity to:

  • Shape a nurturing home from the ground up, creating a safe, therapeutic environment where young people can thrive.
  • Lead with heart and expertise, building a team dedicated to trauma-informed, high-quality care.
  • Work alongside passionate founders who value innovation, integrity, and genuine impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership: Manage the home’s day-to-day running, ensuring OfSTED compliance and outstanding care.
  • Team Development: Recruit, mentor, and inspire a team committed to therapeutic, child-centred practice.
  • Quality & Compliance: Oversee policies, safeguarding, and OfSTED inspections, targeting a minimum "Good" rating.
  • Collaboration: Work with families, social workers, and multi-agency professionals to deliver personalised outcomes.
  • On-Call Duty: Participate in the on-call rota to support staff and young people.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Residential Childcare (or working towards it).
  • 2+ years’ experience managing an OfSTED-regulated children’s home (EBD/LD settings preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations (2015), safeguarding, and trauma-informed care.
  • Proven leadership – compassionate yet decisive, with a track record of driving quality and compliance.
  • OfSTED inspection experience, ideally with a "Good" or "Outstanding" outcome.
    • £5,000 Joining Bonus – A warm welcome to the team!
    • Quarterly Performance Bonuses – Rewarding your impact.
    • Gym Membership & Wellbeing Programme – Because your health matters.
    • Ongoing Training & Career Growth – Invest in your future with this lovely client.
    • Relocation Support Available (depending on location).
    • Casual Dress & Supportive Culture – Be yourself in a family-like environment.
    • Annual Leave: 33 days (including bank holidays)
