Job Description - Children's Registered Manager

Children's Registered Manager - Brand New Home
Location: Sutton
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 + Additional Bonuses

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established provider of high-quality children's residential care, operating multiple homes across London and Surrey. Our client is seeking a passionate and experienced Registered Manager to lead a brand-new children's home in Sutton.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an expanding organisation that values innovation, excellence, and child-centred care. As the Registered Manager, you will play a key role in setting up and developing the home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and delivering outstanding outcomes for young people aged 11-18.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the setup and registration of the home with Ofsted.

  • Lead, develop, and inspire a dedicated team to provide high-quality care.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and best practices.

  • Implement and maintain therapeutic care approaches tailored to individual needs.

  • Manage budgets, resources, and operational planning effectively.

  • Build positive relationships with external agencies, stakeholders, and the local community.

  • Drive continuous improvement to achieve 'Good' or 'Outstanding' Ofsted ratings.

Requirements:
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).

  • Minimum two years' experience as a Registered Manager in a children's residential setting.

  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding procedures, and relevant legislation.

  • Proven ability to develop and lead a successful team.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.

  • Passion for delivering high-quality, child-centred care.
