Job Title: Children’s Senior Social Worker

Pay Rate: £31 per hour

Job Description:

Liquid Personnel is seeking an experienced Social Worker on behalf of its client in Sheffield.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team at the Sheffield Safeguarding Hub, where you will collaborate across services to protect and support children. The role focuses on delivering timely and proportionate interventions that enhance child safety and wellbeing, underpinned by expert analysis and coordinated safeguarding practices.

What will your responsibilities be?

• Act as a key member of the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) team.


• Screen and respond to all new referrals into children’s social care.


• Serve as the first point of contact for children, young people, and families in need or at risk.


• Promote and safeguard the welfare of children across Sheffield.


• Ensure compliance with legislation and maintain high professional standards.


• Apply thresholds consistently for stepping up from early help to children’s social care.


• Use strong communication, engagement, and analytical skills to safeguard children.


• Possess sound knowledge of relevant legislation and front-line team experience.


• Maintain high standards to achieve better outcomes for children and families.


• Collaborate effectively across Children’s Services and other agencies to shape and deliver services.

Qualifications & Experience:

To be successful in this role you must have, 

• Hold a Social Work England registration


• Be eligible to work in the UK


• Hold a full UK driving license


• Social Work Qualification, degree or equivalent


• At least 2 years’ experience as a social worker within children’s services
