Children's Social Worker

Tempest Resourcing is recruiting 14 experienced Social Workers to join Tameside's Neighbourhood Safeguarding Service.

This role is suited to experienced practitioners with a strong interest in court work and child protection planning. You'll work with children and families across public and private law proceedings, helping to manage risk and achieve positive, long-term outcomes.

Working within Tameside's restorative and strengths-based Heart of Support practice model, you'll build positive relationships with children and families while keeping their needs at the centre of every decision.

Key Responsbilities:

* Managing a varied safeguarding caseload
* Completing assessments, statutory visits and reviews
* Developing and progressing child protection plans
* Undertaking direct work with children and families
* Preparing court reports and contributing to public and private law proceedings
* Working collaboratively with families, colleagues and partner agencies
* Maintaining accurate case records and meeting statutory timescales

About You:

To be considered, you must have:

* A recognised Social Work qualification
* Current Social Work England registration
* At least two years' post-qualifying experience within Children's Services
* Experience of court proceedings and child protection planning
* Strong assessment, communication and report-writing skills
* A restorative, relational and strengths-based approach
* A full driving licence

You'll be supported by an experienced Team Manager and a permanent senior leadership team committed to listening to and supporting Social Workers.
