Children's Team Manager - Children with Disabilities

Our client Tameside metropolitan borough council is looking for a Children's Team Manager to join their Children with Disabilities team.

Key Responsibilities

Managing and supervising social workers and support staff.
Overseeing assessments of children with disabilities and their needs.
Ensuring care plans, safeguarding measures, and statutory responsibilities are carried out effectively.
Supporting children who may require specialist services, short breaks, direct payments, or social care interventions.
Working with schools, healthcare professionals, therapists, and other agencies.
Monitoring team performance, caseloads, and service quality.
Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and safeguarding procedures.
Managing budgets and resources where applicable.
