Childrens Team Manager - Fostering support

Our client Tameside metropolitan borough council is looking for a Children's Team Manager to join their Fostering support, supervision and assessments service.

Tameside are seeking a passionate and driven Interim Team Manager to lead the Fostering Support, Supervision and Assessments Service, providing strong leadership to Supervising Social Workers and ensuring the delivery of high-quality support to foster carers and children. The role requires an experienced social work manager who can balance operational oversight with strategic leadership, driving service improvement, quality assurance, and excellent outcomes for children and families.

The applicant will need to have expertise and confidence in the following areas:

Leadership and management of fostering and children's social care teams.
Foster carer support, supervision and assessment.
Quality assurance, auditing and performance management.
Workforce development, supervision and coaching.
Safeguarding, care planning and achieving positive outcomes for children.
