Job Description - Children's Team Manager - Youth Justice
Our client Rochdale Borough council is looking for a Children's Team Manager to join their Youth Justice service.
PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES OF THE JOB
Responsible for:-
Leadership, motivation, nurturing and management of Youth Offending Service, ensuring the service provided is effective and delivers positive outcomes. This includes:
Ensuring that the Youth Offending Service meet the statutory requirements in respect of children in the criminal justice system. Ensuring that the Youth Offending Service are delivering interventions that impact on the reduction of re-offending Ensuring that the Youth Offending Service are providing an early help/prevention service that demonstrates an improvement on outcomes for young people by preventing them becoming First Time Entrants Managing performance and quality assurance, resources and budgets (in collaboration with other key stakeholders). Ensuring adherence to and implementation of the Quality Assurance Framework, including ensuring that the relevant case audits are undertaken, staff and service user feedback is sought and acted upon. Provision of effective professional and practice supervision (including reflective supervision) and performance appraisal of staff. Performance management; ensuring that team members understand their contribution to improving performance. Ensuring effective assessment of young people which includes risk management of offending and also safeguarding. Ensuring effective multi agency planning for young people through all levels of intervention within the Youth Offending Service Assisting team to access resources across Rochdale MC and with partner agencies to ensure delivery of services that promote positive outcomes for children. Preparation for inspections. Develop and sustain productive relationships with peers, stakeholders and partners including schools Participate in and influence GM Youth Justice developments Support the Head of Service in managing a shared service under a service level agreement which includes contributing to quarterly reports to evidence performance targets are met and there is a positive impact on outcomes for young peopleBenefits of working with Remedy
