Chief Information Officer (CIO)

A private equity-backed manufacturing business with an exciting multi-site footprint is seeking a strategic and operationally strong Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead its IT transformation journey.
Following recent acquisition, the business is entering a critical growth phase. The CIO will play a pivotal role in assessing and modernising the current IT landscape, ensuring systems, infrastructure, and cybersecurity are aligned with the business's commercial goals, while supporting scalability, efficiency, and resilience across all sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct a comprehensive review of the existing IT estate, including infrastructure, systems, security, and vendor relationships.
- Define and lead a business-wide IT transformation programme to align technology with strategic goals.
- Partner with the PE investors and senior leadership team to deliver scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions that enable profitable growth.
- Standardise systems and processes across multiple manufacturing locations to enhance efficiency and insight.
- Oversee data integrity, business intelligence/reporting, and cybersecurity posture.
- Build and lead a high-performing IT team and partner network capable of supporting long-term ambitions.
- Act as a change agent across the organisation - bringing innovation, commercial insight, and best-in-class IT governance.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience as a CIO or IT Director in a multi-site, manufacturing or industrial business - ideally post-PE investment.
- Strong track record in leading complex IT transformations, infrastructure modernisation, and digital innovation.
- Commercially astute, with the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.
- Deep understanding of cybersecurity, ERP systems, business systems integration, and data strategy.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills - credible at C-suite and board level.
