Civil Engineer

My client, an independent, innovative Multidisciplinary Consultancy is currently searching for a Civil Engineer to join their experienced team of drainage and highways engineers, based in the beautiful town of Carmarthen, West Wales.

Essential Criteria:

• A Bachelor's or Master's Degree, or equivalent qualification, in Civil Engineering
• Experience of carrying out Drainage Impact Assessments, Drainage Strategies, and Flood Risk Assessments
• Demonstrable experience of working with roads, highways, and infrastructure, including adoptions
• Experience of working within an engineering consultancy role
• Good working knowledge of a range of software packages, including AutoCAD, Revit, Civils 3D, etc.
• Full UK Driver's Licence

It would also benefit applicants for the role of Civil Engineer to possess the following:

• Attained Chartered Engineer status, or actively working toward this
• Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
• Excellent time management skills
• Familiar with the local area

In the varied role of Civil Engineer, you will join a dedicated team of specialist design engineers, with a view to developing your career and progressing through the ranks. The role will involve a number of exciting responsibilities, including:

• Produce Drainage Impact Assessments, Drainage Strategies, and Flood Risk Assessments
• Plan and design a range of roads and other infrastructure projects
• Work with the adoption of newly constructed infrastructure, ensuring it meets required standards and specifications
• Support Senior Engineers and management with the delivery of various projects, adhering to agreed budgets and timescales
• Provide assistance to Senior Engineers in project preparation, including calculations, specifications, etc.
• Assist the Design Team with the delivery of accurate drawings
• Carry out site inspections and surveys
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to deliver projects
