We're recruiting on behalf of a leading Civils and Groundworks subcontractor delivering works on one of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects at Sizewell.
We're looking for a skilled and motivated Civil Engineer to join the project team, supporting the successful delivery of major civils and groundworks packages. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a landmark infrastructure project, gaining valuable experience while contributing to the safe, efficient and high-quality delivery of complex construction works.

The Role
As a Civil Engineer, you'll play a key role in supporting the planning, coordination and execution of site activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, accurately and in line with programme requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
Setting out and surveying works using modern surveying equipment.
Ensuring construction activities are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications and project requirements.
Supporting Site Managers and Project Managers with the day-to-day delivery of works.
Preparing and reviewing site documentation, including ITPs, RAMS and permits where required.
Monitoring quality standards and ensuring compliance with project specifications.
Recording site progress and maintaining accurate engineering records.
Coordinating subcontractors and suppliers to ensure efficient delivery of works.
Assisting with resolving technical and engineering issues on site.
Promoting and maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
Supporting project planning and programme delivery to meet key milestones.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a proactive Civil Engineer with experience working within the Civils, Groundworks or Infrastructure sector.
You'll ideally have:
Experience working on civil engineering or groundworks projects.
Strong understanding of engineering drawings and construction specifications.
Experience with setting out and surveying equipment such as Leica or Trimble.
Knowledge of QA procedures, ITPs and site documentation.
A sound understanding of health and safety legislation within construction.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
The ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced project environment.
HNC, HND or Degree in Civil Engineering (or a related discipline).
CSCS Card.
Full UK Driving Licence.
