About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join the fast growing Technical Services and Consulting team at NUVIA. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and carrying out a range of design activities related to civil engineering in building projects. Your primary responsibilities will include reviewing and accepting deliverables, producing building-specific documents, and resolving technical issues in collaboration with various stakeholders. Applications are open for those with 2 years experience and up to Principal level.

Main Activities:
Carry out and coordinate the review and acceptance of deliverables within your scope of activity.
Produce building-specific documents such as handover reports and hypothesis notes.
Act as the first point of contact for raising and following up on building-specific technical open points.
Support the resolution of transverse/complex technical open points in collaboration with the civil building lead.
Assist in coordinating the design process in collaboration with stakeholders.
Resolve building-specific technical topics and track their evolution within your scope of activity.
Support the preparation of progress reports for the Client Project Manager and alert of any technical risks to the program.
Review technical proposals for variations.

Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
Civil engineering design office experience, particularly in the design and detailing of industrial reinforced concrete structures.
Experience in the nuclear sector would be advantageous.

Knowledge and Technical Skills:
Essential:
Knowledge and understanding of the Eurocodes related to civil engineering.
Knowledge of the design and detailing of reinforced concrete.
Knowledge and understanding of relevant Health and Safety regulations.
Desirable:
Knowledge of the ETC-C design code would be advantageous.
Knowledge of the HPC civil engineering design sequence and/or experience on HPC project would be advantageous.
