Civil Litigation Paralegal

My client is a well-established law firm in the heart of Swindon that services both business and private client areas of law. It is seeking a confident and experienced Civil Litigation Paralegal to join the firm.

This is an excellent opportunity for a paralegal to assist on a wide range of contentious matters in a busy and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload across a broad range of civil litigation matters
• Handle personal injury claims including OIC and MOJ portal matters, as well as claims falling outside of the portal frameworks
• Advise and assist on contract disputes, employment law issues, boundary disputes, harassment, defamation, company law and landlord and tenant matters
• Draft legal documents including pleadings, witness statements and applications
• Enforce judgments and provide representation at court, including hearings and trials
• Manage matters from pre-action through to resolution, including Small Claims, Fast Track and Multi-Track litigation

About You

• Previous experience in a fee-earning civil litigation role is essential
• Comfortable working to billing targets and managing your own caseload
• Strong advocacy skills and experience attending court
• Excellent drafting and communication abilities
• Organised, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team
