Civil Litigator

My client is a highly regarded specialist legal practice handling complex and high-value tax, commercial and contentious matters. They advise sophisticated individuals, businesses and professional advisers on technically demanding disputes, often involving significant financial and commercial considerations.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Civil Litigator with 7–10 years’ PQE to join their specialist team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced litigator to work on challenging, high-value disputes within a technically strong and commercially focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle complex civil litigation and commercial disputes from initial instruction through to resolution
• Advise clients on litigation strategy, prospects and potential outcomes
• Work on disputes involving fraud, breach of duty, contractual issues and other complex commercial matters
• Conduct detailed legal and factual research and analyse complex evidence
• Prepare pleadings, submissions, correspondence, witness evidence and other legal documentation
• Manage cases through the relevant court and litigation procedures
• Liaise with barristers, experts, professional advisers and other stakeholders
• Attend hearings and conferences where required
• Provide clear, commercially focused advice to clients
• Manage multiple complex matters independently and take ownership of case strategy

Requirements:

• Qualified Solicitor with 7–10 years’ PQE
• Strong civil litigation experience
• Experience handling complex commercial disputes essential
• Experience in fraud, civil fraud or related disputes advantageous but not essential
• Strong knowledge of civil procedure and litigation strategy
• Excellent analytical, research and drafting skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to assess complex evidence
• Excellent communication and client management skills
• Commercially minded with sound judgment and a practical approach
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a specialist team
• Genuine interest in complex and challenging litigation
