Civils Supervisor - 8-Week Contract

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Civils Supervisor for an eight-week contract at a cement plant in Dunbar.
The project involves overseeing the delivery of civil engineering works associated with the installation of a large 1,000-tonne steel silo on a basic foundation within an operational cement plant.
We are looking for a hands-on Civils Supervisor with a strong background in general civils and concrete foundation works, who can coordinate site activities and ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day civil engineering works on site.
• Oversee foundation and associated civils works for the steel silo installation.
• Coordinate site operatives, subcontractors and plant.
• Ensure works are completed in line with drawings, specifications and programme requirements.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety on an operational cement plant.
• Carry out site inspections and monitor quality.
• Liaise with site management, engineers and project teams.
• Ensure site records and relevant documentation are maintained.

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience as a Civils Supervisor.
• Background in civil engineering and concrete foundation works.
• SSSTS - ideally held.
• CSCS card - preferred.
• Strong understanding of site health and safety.
• Ability to coordinate site teams and subcontractors effectively.
Contract Details
• Duration: 8 weeks.
• Location: Dunbar, Scotland.
• Project: Cement plant civils works and foundation for a 1,000-tonne steel silo.
• Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience.
