Claims Adjuster

Nexus Claims Management Services Ltd are seeking to hire an experienced Claims Adjuster to join our growing Claims team. We are a fast-paced, energetic MGA that offers a great opportunity for a Claims Adjuster to join the Pilots Loss of License (Personal Accident/Illness) team.

About the role
The successful Claims Adjuster will be working closely with the Claims Manager and wider Claims Team, fostering strong relationships with all stakeholders and providing a best in class claims service.
Handle first-party Pilots Loss of License claims from initial notification to settlement/closure. Assess policy coverage accurately and efficiently. Review medical documents and other relevant information. Ensure effective diary and system/file management, including accurate data entry and claims notes. Oversee and manage email inboxes.
Oversee bordereaux production, payment requests, and ensure data quality/accuracy. Undertake peer and static file reviews, assisting others as required.
Build rapport with brokers and policyholders/pilots, ensuring mindful communication and adherence to Consumer Duty, especially with vulnerable customers. Collaborate also with underwriters, claims team, carriers, and external providers to provide quality and timely service.
Maintain adherence to contractual delegated authorities and service level agreements, identifying any watchlist items, large losses or matters outside authority.
Provide ad hoc claims assistance to the wider team as necessary.
Complete at least 15 hours of CPD annually to stay updated with standards/best practices and ensure adherence to Nexus values, codes of conduct, and policies at all times.

About you
Previous Claims Experience ideally in Personal Accident, Property & Casualty or Personal Injury.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks efficiently.
Positive and enthusiastic attitude.
IT literate and good working knowledge of all MS packages
