Job Description - Claims Adjuster - Accidental Damage

Michelle Denny Recruitment is excited to partner with a thriving and well-established claims business in Diss, South Norfolk, to find an experienced Accidental Damage Claims Adjuster for their specialist MGA organisation.

With a strong niche in the UK motor claims market, this role offers a salary of up to £26,000 per annum and the flexibility to work in the office, or on a hybrid basis.

About the Role:
As an AD Claims Adjuster, you will manage your own portfolio of claims within appropriate authority limits. While experience in commercial, fleet, or AD claims from an insurer or brokerage is ideal, the most important qualities we seek are your character and your drive to contribute to a professional and friendly team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Validate, investigate, and negotiate customer claims with confidence
  • Manage and prioritise your caseload with strong organisational skills
  • Work towards monthly targets at both team and individual levels
  • Apply commercial acumen in assessing claims, balancing economic considerations with the business’s best interests
  • Use strong negotiation skills to challenge decisions where appropriate
  • Make quick and accurate decisions on liability, quantum, and indemnity
  • Identify and handle potentially spurious claims
  • Understand industry procedures, products, and services
  • Liaise effectively with blue-chip organisations
What We’re Looking For:
  • Comfortable with claims validation, investigation, and negotiation
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
  • Ability to work to monthly targets, both individually and as part of a team
  • Commercially astute with a focus on the business’s best interests
  • Strong negotiation skills and confidence in challenging decisions
  • Quick decision-making abilities regarding liability, quantum, and indemnity
  • Keen eye for identifying potentially fraudulent claims
  • Solid understanding of industry procedures, products, and services
  • Ability to liaise effectively with blue-chip organisations
Why Join Us:
In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of training and development opportunities. Our modern, open-plan office is conveniently located just a short walk from Diss train station, making it an easily accessible workplace. The business is experiencing exponential growth, so this is a great time to join and advance your career with a strong, friendly team.
