Job Description - Claims Coordinator

CLAIMS COORDINATOR

Salary: up to £27k DOE

Location: Wythenshawe - onsite

Hours: (Mon-Fri) 08:00- 16:00 / 09:00- 17:00

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Claims Coordinator to join a reputable and FCA-regulated organisation based in Wythenshawe. You'll be at the forefront of delivering accurate, compliant, and customer-focused claims processes-ensuring a smooth experience for both clients and stakeholders.

What You'll Do

As a Claims Coordinator, you'll be central to the success of the organisation's claims handling process. Working closely with both internal claims teams and external lenders, you'll act as the bridge that ensures communications are clear, timelines are met, and all activities remain compliant with FCA regulations. This role requires a proactive and methodical approach, as well as the ability to interpret data, identify risks, and continuously improve processes.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the main point of contact between internal claims processors and external lenders, maintaining professional and effective relationships.
  • Conducting regular meetings with lenders to ensure alignment on processes, expectations, and any regulatory updates.
  • Monitoring lender workflows and ensuring timely and accurate exchange of claim-related information.
  • Identifying and resolving lender-related complaints in line with FCA guidelines and company procedures.
  • Analysing data to validate the quality and accuracy of information received, while identifying potential risks or delays.
  • Staying up to date with regulatory changes, especially those impacting FCA compliance, customer outcomes, or claims timelines.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of claims processes through insight and feedback gathered from stakeholders.
  • Proactively addressing operational risks by tracking trends in claims data, DSARs, and submission logs.
What You Bring

You're an organised, detail-oriented professional with a background in claims coordination or a related role within a regulated industry such as financial services, insurance, or legal. You're confident communicating with stakeholders at all levels, and you bring a proactive mindset to problem-solving and process improvement.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Strong stakeholder management skills and a collaborative working style.
  • Working knowledge of FCA compliance, particularly in complaints handling and consumer duty.
  • Experience in a claims-related role, ideally within financial services or a similar regulated setting.
  • Familiarity with DSAR processes and a good understanding of data protection in regulated environments.
  • An analytical approach, able to interpret data sets and identify discrepancies or emerging trends.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Empathy and professionalism when handling sensitive or challenging situations.
  • Confidence in adapting to new systems or changes in process.
  • Experience working with PCP claims, CRM/case management systems, or within consumer credit environments would be advantageous.
