We are currently recruiting for a Claims Handler on behalf of our client, a very highly regarded and globally recognised insurer.

The successful candidate will assist in managing low value/complexity claims, as well as supporting the senior claims management team to deliver projects and develop initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Handling Professions, Environmental & Mergers and Acquisitions & Specialty Risks Claims.
• Managing individual claims with an expected or actual value at or below $100,000 with support from line management, from notification to closure.
• Supporting Senior Claims Handlers with relevant tasks, projects or initiatives.
• Developing good practice and sharing business and class knowledge within M&A, PEMA and Specialty Risks teams.
• Working with colleagues within M&A, PEMA and Specialty Risks teams, to maximise business opportunities and profitability within the department.
• Producing presentations and marketing literature as required.
• Developing business plans/research documents for the M&A account.

Key Requirements

• Must be of graduate calibre.
• Ideally, candidates will have up to two years of Claims Handling experience. However, individuals with a Law Degree or similar, with an interest in working in insurance, will also be considered.
• Strong analytical skills in problem solving, analysis of financial statements, financial assessments of claims and data analysis.
• Good time and workload management skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including Client and Broker management.
• Functional knowledge and understanding of the claims management process, US/RoW insurance market (general & focus group), US/RoW legal and regulatory environment and alternative resolution approaches.
