HGV Class 1 Driver

We are currently recruiting HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join our professional and growing transport team. 6 months experience required

This role involves RDC and store deliveries, offering straightforward, clean, and easy work with consistent shifts and excellent earning potential.

Shift Patterns

AM Shifts

* Start times between 01:00 and 11:00am

PM Shifts

* Start times between 13:00 and 23:45pm

Start times will be allocated and confirmed once you commence employment.

Duties

* Complete RDC and store deliveries safely and efficiently

* Conduct daily vehicle checks and ensure the vehicle is roadworthy

* Safely load and unload goods where required

* Ensure loads are secured correctly for transit

* Deliver goods within scheduled timeframes

* Complete all delivery paperwork and vehicle records accurately

* Comply with all road traffic regulations and company procedures

* Communicate professionally with transport teams and customers

* Report any delays, incidents, defects, or vehicle faults promptly

* Maintain a professional standard at all times

Requirements

* Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence

* Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card

* Valid Digital Tachograph Card

* Maximum of 6 penalty points (no major endorsements)

* Experienced drivers with a minimum of 6 months

* Previous commercial driving experience is desirable

* Experience operating curtain-sided and box trailers is advantageous

* Good understanding of driver hours and road transport legislation

* Excellent driving and safety awareness

* Strong time management and organisational skills

* Ability to work independently and professionally

* Flexible approach to working hours
