Class 1 & 2 Driver

Gi Group are recruiting Class 1 HGV Drivers to work for a well-known delivery company, based in Crewe. There are 2 shift patterners for night shifts available.

Nights 1 - Sunday to Wednesday = 4 Nights ( Start time either 21:00 or 23:00)

Nights 2 - Tuesday to Friday = 4 Nights ( Start time either 21:00 or 23:00)

Newly passed drivers are accepted.

HGV Driver responsibilities:

Conducting Vehicle checks
Multi Drop/ bulk, collections and deliveries
Securing loads
Multi Drop delivery of palletised goods - depot to depot, 4 - 5 drops, loading and unloading vehicle using tail lift & either a manual or electric pump truck
Prioritising workload to ensure time commitments are met

HGV Driver required skills:

Enthusiastic, reliable, and punctual.
Good attitude to work and learn new skills.
No more than 6 penalty points (no DD/IN/DR/DN/TT endorsement codes).
Hold a valid, in date Tachograph & CPC.
Must be able to read, write and communicate in English to adhere to health and safety requirements.
Have good customer service skills.
Good understanding of Drivers hours, regulations, and working time directive.

Pay Rates:

Class 1: Night Shift - £19.27
Class 2: Night Shift - £18.96

*Please note that pay rates are PAYE and include advanced holiday pay
