Class 1 HGV Driver

BE Recruitment are working with a well-established General Merchant company based in Coalville, Leicester, who are looking for high-quality Class 1 HGV Drivers to join their team on an ongoing basis.

💷 Pay Rate: £17.00 - £19.00 per hour

This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced drivers looking for consistent, ongoing work, with the potential for a permanent contract.

🚛 The Role

Day-to-day duties will include:

1-2 national deliveries per day
General haulage of palletised goods
No handballing - all pallets are forklifted off
Deliveries throughout the UK
Professional and customer-focused service

⏰ Hours of Work

Monday to Friday
Start times between 6:00am and 8:00am
Shifts typically 8-12 hours
Saturday and Sunday work available at overtime rates
Ongoing work with full-time hours available

💷 Pay & Benefits

£17.00 - £19.00 per hour
Ongoing temporary position
Full-time work available
Opportunity for a permanent contract
Holiday entitlement equivalent to 28 days per year

✅ Role Requirements

To be considered, you must have:

Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
Valid Driver CPC qualification
Valid Digital Tachograph Card
Relevant HGV driving experience
Good knowledge of UK roads
A professional and reliable attitude
Safety shoes and hi-vis vest - mandatory PPE
