The position of Class 1 Tramper Driver involves:
Collecting and delivering customers products delivering loads throughout the UK.
Using a handheld PDA to complete paperwork.
Dealing with customers face to face and over the phone.
Keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing our customers expectations.
This will include nights away.
Attending regular training sessions.
Essential skills required for Class 1 Tramper Driver:
Must have a UK Class 1 (CE) Driving Licence.
To have experience driving walking floor and curtain sider vehicles.
Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous.
Be passionate about providing excellent customer service.
Working to deadlines.
Confident, polite and a team player.
Good geographical knowledge.
Due to the nature of the role applicants must be fit, flexible, hardworking and self-motivated.
