Class 1 Trunk driver

Flexistaff Recruitment is currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for our client based in Dunstable.

This is an excellent opportunity for professional and reliable drivers looking for consistent night shift work, with the potential to secure a permanent position directly with the company.

The role involves trunking operations, making it ideal for drivers who prefer long-distance or depot-to-depot deliveries rather than multi-drop work.

Key Responsibilities

* Carrying out Class 1 trunking deliveries during night shifts.

* Transporting goods safely and efficiently between designated locations.

* Ensuring all deliveries and collections are completed on schedule.

* Conducting daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects.

* Completing relevant delivery paperwork and transport documentation.

* Complying with drivers' hours, tachograph regulations and road safety legislation.

* Maintaining a professional and responsible approach at all times.

Requirements

* Minimum 2 years of HGV Class 1 driving experience.

* Valid Category C+E (Class 1) driving licence.

* No more than 6 penalty points on your driving licence.

* Valid Driver CPC qualification.

* Valid Digital Tachograph Card.

* ADR qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.

* Previous trunking experience is desirable.

* Good knowledge of UK road transport regulations.

* Reliable, punctual and comfortable working night shifts.
