Class 2 Driver

Shift: 5ON 2OFF - 05:00am.

Salary: £37,804 per annum.

• As an HGV Class 2 driver you will be essential in ensuring timely and safe delivery to our valued customers.
• You will be working on a contract which specialises in Multi Drop Tyre deliveries on Rigid Vehicles and Collecting Scrap Tyres. 
• The role will include delivering wines. 
• Ensure correct and thorough completion of paperwork.
• The role may include curb side deliveries and will include manual lifting.
• Observe and adhere to company rules and procedures, including all aspects of health, safety and hygiene
• Maintain a good working knowledge of operations within the transport department
• Effectively manage own working time in line with the Road Transport Directive
• Ensure daily vehicle checks are completed in line with company procedure
• Ensure proof of deliveries (PODs) are signed and returned to the Transport Office after delivery
• Achieve and succeed fuel efficiency targets set by the business
• Any other duties as reasonably required

• Class C entitlement with 1 years Class 2 experience. 
• Physically fit as the role will include manual lifting.
• Knowledge of Road Transport Directive and current drivers’ hours.
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
• Effectively prioritise workload in order to meet set deadlines.
