Class 2 Driver

Gi Group are resourcing HGV Class 2 Drivers for one of the biggest parcel delivery companies in the UK, making more than 700 million deliveries a year. They have a dedicated team of over 20,000 couriers and in excess of 10,000 local Parcel Shops and Lockers.

You will be working with their fleet of drivers operating out of their Eastwood depot, just outside Nottingham [NG16].

Driver responsibilities:

* You will safely transport palletised parcels to Couriers or collecting from Delivery Units
* You will typically have a run with 4 - 5 drops ensuring the safe, efficient driving of vehicles and keeping the paperwork updated
* Vehicle checks and the securing loads

Driver requirements:

* You'll need a full UK driving licence with HGV Class 2 (Cat C) entitlement
* Have no more than 6 penalty points (no DD/IN/DR/DN/TT endorsement codes) on your licence
* Hold a driver's CPC and digital tachograph cards that are valid and in date
* Newly-qualified drivers are welcome, however all drivers will need to undertake a short driving assessment
* Excellent communication skills
* A safety-first mindset
* Reasonable physical fitness

Driver Pay:

£14.19 - £18.32 [dependant on shifts and holiday pay arrangements]

Driver Shifts:

Full time shifts
Part time shifts
Weekend only shifts
Start times between 14:00 and 16:00
