Class 2 Driver

We are seeking a professional and reliable HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating a Class 2 HGV to deliver goods efficiently across designated routes. Responsibilities

* Safely operate a flatbed HGV Class 2 vehicle in accordance with all legal and safety requirements

* Conduct pre-journey vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and report any issues promptly

* Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely collection and drop-off of goods

* Loading and unloading with care, adhering to proper handling procedures to prevent damage

* Complete all necessary paperwork accurately, including delivery notes and logs

* Maintain a clean and organised vehicle, both inside and out, throughout the working day

* Comply with all traffic laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies during every shift

* Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules or issues encountered on the road

Requirements

* Valid HGV Class 2 licence with no more than 6 points.

* Proven experience in commercial driving

* Delivery driver experience is highly desirable

* Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for safe transportation of goods

* Ability to handle physical tasks such as loading/unloading cargo safely and efficiently

* Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan routes effectively

* Good communication skills to liaise professionally with clients and team members

* Flexibility to work various shifts as required, including early mornings or late finishes if necessary
