Job Description - Class 2 Drivers

Class 2 HGV Driver – Immediate Starts Available

What We Offer

Competitive Pay Rates (per hour worked)
Guaranteed Minimum: 8 hours per day
Consistent Rate: Your shift rate holds for the entire shift
Flexible Shifts: Early mornings, late finishes, weekend options
Regular Deliveries: 3–6 store drops per shift
Structured Induction & Training: Assessment & paid induction

Pay Rates

Monday–Friday (All hours): £16.14/hr
Saturday (All hours): £18.30/hr
Sunday & Bank Holidays (All hours): £19.30/hr

30-minute unpaid break deducted per shift.
Typical Shift Pattern

Start Times: Between 03:00 and 15:00
Shift Length: 8–13 hours
Deliveries: 3–6 store drops per shift

Recruitment Process

Assessment (˜4 hours)
- Written test on Working Time Directive (WTD) & Highway Code
- Practical drive assessment
Paid Induction (8 hours)
- On-the-job introduction to your regular route
- Scheduled at the end of your assessment week or the following week

Requirements

Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
Minimum 6 months’ recent UK Class 2 driving experience
Good command of spoken English
Willingness to work early mornings, nights & weekends as required
