Responsibilities:

• Safely transport and deliver steel components to various sites.
• Work both independently and as part of a team to install structural steelwork on construction sites.
• Operate long reach hiabs at sites for the safe installation of steels and other construction materials.
• Assemble and fabricate structural metal products according to blueprints or instructions.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to cut, shape, and join metal components.
• Adhere strictly to safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and meet specifications.

Qualifications:

• Clean Class 2 HGV licence.
• Required experience in operating hiabs, ideally with a current ticket.
• Previous experience as a steel erector preferred.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations.

Job Details:

• Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
• Salary: Up to £40,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8-hour shifts, day shift
• Monday to Friday with overtime available

Location:

• High Wycombe (must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate)

Experience:

• Steel erecting: 1 year preferred
• Hiab operating: 2 years required

Language:

• English required

Licence/Certification:

• HGV Licence required
