Class 2 Refuse Driver

New Resource Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Class 2 Refuse Driver to join a well-established waste management operation based in Cheltenham.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and reliable HGV Class 2 Driver looking for a stable, full-time position with a great work-life balance.

Working as part of a dedicated refuse collection team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient collection of household and commercial waste across the local area while delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

* Safely operate a Class 2 (Category C) refuse collection vehicle.

* Complete daily collection routes in Cheltenham and the surrounding areas.

* Work closely with the loading crew to ensure collections are completed efficiently.

* Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.

* Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed at all times.

* Complete relevant paperwork and use onboard systems where required.

* Maintain a professional and courteous approach when interacting with the public.

Requirements

* Full UK Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.

* Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.

* Previous Class 2 driving experience is preferred.

* Good understanding of driver hours and road transport legislation.

* Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious.

* Able to work effectively as part of a team.
