Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a specialist SEMH school for boys aged 7–16, located in the Havant area, to recruit an experienced and compassionate Class Teacher for September 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher with experience in either Primary or Secondary education who understands the unique challenges and strengths of pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that support pupils to achieve their individual goals and reach their full potential.
Working as part of a highly supportive and collaborative team, you will contribute to creating a positive learning environment where every pupil feels valued, understood, and empowered to succeed.
The Role
Plan and deliver high-quality, tailored lessons to meet a range of individual learning needs. Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that promotes engagement, confidence, and achievement. Work closely with colleagues, support staff, families, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for pupils. Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies where required. Support pupils with SEMH needs to develop both academically and personally.

The Ideal Candidate
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience teaching within Primary and/or Secondary settings. A strong understanding of SEND and/or SEMH needs. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Resilient, adaptable, and committed to helping pupils overcome barriers to learning. Passionate about inclusive education and achieving positive outcomes for young people. This role would suit a teacher who is looking for a rewarding position where they can make a real difference every day while developing their career within a specialist educational setting.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
