Job Description - Classic Car Sales Executive

Role: Classic Car Sales Executive - South of England (Field Based)
Location: Field-based (South of England focus) - occasional travel to Warrington HQ
Salary: £25,000 to £27,500 Basic + Uncapped Commission
OTE: £50,000+ (realistic)

I'm working in close partnership with one of the UK's most well-known and highly regarded classic car auction companies, who are expanding their team due to continued growth and record sales figures. They're now on the lookout for a Sales Executive to cover the South of England, helping to source, secure and consign some of the most iconic classic and collector vehicles on the market.

This is not your average sales role - it's a lifestyle opportunity for someone who wants to work with the most beautiful, rare, and desirable vehicles across the UK while building meaningful client relationships in a dynamic, high-trust environment.


The Role:
As a Classic Car Sales Executive, you'll play a pivotal role in sourcing and consigning vehicles for auction, working closely with private owners, collectors, and enthusiasts. You'll manage both inbound enquiries and proactively approach classic car owners through specialist publications, websites, and social media.
You'll need to be comfortable negotiating and advising clients, photographing and documenting vehicles, and delivering first-class service that reflects the company's reputation.


Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Responding to valuation enquiries and converting them into vehicle consignments.
  • Proactively sourcing vehicles via classic car listings (Car & Classic, Classic Trader, Pistonheads, etc.).
  • Visiting clients across the South to assess and photograph vehicles, review history files, and secure contracts.
  • Negotiating realistic reserve prices with vendors to ensure quality auction entries.
  • Uploading listings, images, and documentation into the company CRM.
  • Assisting at national auctions (including setup, viewing and condition reporting).
  • Writing compelling and accurate vehicle descriptions and bullet-point highlights.
  • Supporting internal teams to ensure a seamless vendor and buyer experience.
  • Maintaining your diary and call log in Microsoft Outlook and CRM.
  • Representing the brand with professionalism, passion, and integrity.


The Ideal Candidate:

  • A genuine enthusiast of classic cars - ideally with personal or professional knowledge of classic marques and eras.
  • Previous sales experience - automotive, auction, or high-end B2C/B2B sales preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and travelling across the South of England.
  • IT literate with the ability to work across Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and CRM systems.
  • Confident with photography and preparing condition reports (training provided if needed).
