Classroom Assistant – Primary School
Location: Hailsham, East Sussex Start Date: Ongoing Contract: Full-time
If you looking to start a career working with children, or ready to take the next step into education, Teaching Personnel are recruiting for a Classroom Assistant to join a friendly and supportive primary school in Hailsham.
No prior classroom experience is required—if you’ve worked with children in any setting, your skills are highly transferable.

The Role
Support pupils in class on a 1:1 basis and in small groups Assist the teacher with lessons and classroom activities Help manage behaviour and keep pupils engaged Support children with additional needs where required Encourage confidence, independence, and positive social interaction Assist with general classroom organisation Who This Role Suits
This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about working with children, including those with experience in:
Sports coaching or team leadership Youth work or community settings Childcare, nursery work, or babysitting Psychology or education graduates/students What We’re Looking For
A proactive, reliable, and flexible approach Confidence building relationships with children A genuine interest in supporting child development Driving is beneficial but not essential An Enhanced DBS Check (or willingness to apply for one) Why Apply?

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
