Role Purpose:

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Office Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will ensure that all areas of the office environment are clean, organised, and maintained to a high standard, providing a healthy and pleasant working atmosphere for colleagues and visitors. 

This role will be full time, based in our Billericay office paying £12.21 per hour. It will be working 7 hours per day 10am - 6pm.

Main Tasks and responsibilities:

General Cleaning: 

• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors. 

• Dust and wipe down all surfaces, including desks, shelves, and cabinets. 

• Clean and sanitise restrooms, replenish supplies, and ensure the area is well-maintained. 

• Empty rubbish bins and dispose of waste responsibly. 

• Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces. 

• Ensure all common areas, including break rooms and kitchens, are clean and organised. 

Specialised Cleaning: 

• Clean carpets and upholstery as needed. 

• Clean and maintain office equipment (e.g., microwaves, refrigerators, coffee machines). 

Inventory Management: 

• Monitor and manage cleaning supplies inventory, requesting restocks when necessary. 

Safety and Compliance: 

• Adhere to all health and safety regulations regarding cleaning chemicals and equipment use. 

• Ensure that cleaning practices do not pose a risk to the safety or health of colleagues. 

Occasional Duties: 

• Assist with setup and breakdown of office events or meetings. 

• Other general office maintenance tasks as directed. 

Key Requirements: 

Experience: 

• Previous cleaning experience, particularly in an office or commercial setting, is preferred. 

Skills & Abilities: 

• Attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness. 

• Ability to work independently and follow instructions. 

• Good time-management skills to complete tasks in a timely manner. 

• Strong physical stamina and ability to lift cleaning supplies and equipment. 

Personal Characteristics: 

• Reliability and punctuality. 

• Good communication skills. 

• Discretion and respect for privacy when handling office equipment and documents. 

Additional Requirements: 

• Ability to use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively. 

• Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
