Job Title: Client Account Manager - Logistics

Location: Redditch
Salary: 45k + car allowance.
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Coats Recruitment’s is hiring on behalf of our client in the logistics sector, looking for a Client Account Manager to join their team. If you thrive in a dynamic and fast paced environment and have a commitment to customer excellence and innovative solutions, this could be an excellent opportunity for you.

Role Overview

As an Account Manager, you’ll drive revenue and profit growth by managing key accounts, acquiring new business, and building long-lasting customer relationships. You’ll collaborate with internal teams to ensure exceptional service delivery and meet performance targets. This role will require some flexibility for travel or additional duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Account Management & Growth:
    • Overachieve revenue and profit targets for your accounts.
    • Drive growth by acquiring new customers and expanding offerings to existing ones.
    • Develop and execute Account Plans for strategic growth.
  • Customer Engagement & Collaboration:
    • Build strong relationships and ensure contracts, SLAs, and KPIs are met.
    • Act as the main contact for customers, addressing challenges and providing solutions.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Strategic Planning & Reporting:
    • Identify new business opportunities and plan for future customer needs.
    • Prepare reports for stakeholders and track performance against KPIs.
    • Proactively reduce costs and improve efficiency.

Job Requirements & Competencies:

    • Proven success in a similar role in the logistics industry.
    • Ability to meet revenue and profit targets and grow accounts.
    • Experience with new business acquisition in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
    • Commercial acumen and experience managing budgets, contracts, and KPIs.
    • Proactive, solution-oriented with excellent presentation skills.
    • Self-motivated with a "CanDo" attitude.
    • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
    • Full, clean driving license required.
