Client Accountant - Hybrid & Flexible Working

Are you an experienced accountant looking for a new challenge in a supportive and growing firm? I am delighted to be working with a well-established accountancy practice based in Leeds, seeking an experienced accountant to join the team in a newly created role, due to continued growth.

About the Role:

As a key member of the practice, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients across various industries, providing high-quality accounting and advisory services. Your role will involve:

• Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
• Completing VAT returns and management accounts
• Handling corporation tax and personal tax returns
• Reviewing work from junior team members and supporting their development
• Liaising with clients to provide proactive business advice
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations

What We’re Looking For:

• AAT Qualified or Qualified by Experience with a strong background in an accountancy practice
• Solid experience in accounts preparation, tax, and VAT
• Knowledge of accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or IRIS
• Strong client management skills and the ability to build lasting relationships
• A proactive approach and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
