Meraki Talent is supporting a well-regarded financial services firm that provides a range of business administration and compliance services. They are currently looking to appoint a Client Accountant during an exciting period of growth, following a recent acquisition. This Is a permanent role based in their London Office.
This role will sit within a growing accounting team responsible for delivering end-to-end financial reporting and compliance services across a broad portfolio of Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs).
Our client will only consider qualified accountants for this role, specifically those with previous experience working with SPVs and audit experience in capital markets or financial services. The successful candidate will be joining a technically focused, client-facing environment with strong development potential.
Role Responsobilities:
Looking after a portfolio of SPVs, setting up and maintaining ledgers and making sure the right accounting reatment is applied
Posting journals and keeping the day-to-day records accurate and up to date
Preparing statutory accounts under IFRS or local GAAP, making sure everything is fully disclosed and compliant.
Working closely with auditors to support year-end processes and help meet key deadlines
Pulling together monthly and quarterly management accounts, along with other client reporting as needed
Taking care of VAT and Corporation Tax returns, as well as preparing iXBRL-tagged accounts for submission
Helping to resolve any technical accounting questions that come up, working with clients and internal teams to get to the right answer
Getting involved in internal projects aimed at improving the way the team works
Building your knowledge of a wide range of structures across private equity, real estate, and capital markets
Person Specification:
You’ll be ACA or ACCA qualified, with at least 3 years experience post-qualification
You’ll also bring a minimum of fours years in a Similar accounting or financial services role
Practical experience working with SPVs is essential; familiarity with private equity or real estate structures would be advantageous
You should have strong technical accounting knowledge and ideally some audit or financial statement prep experience
You’re a confident communicator who enjoys working collaboratively and solving problems
Accuracy, professionalism, and a high level of attention to detail are all qualities you pride yourself on
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, are desired
