Job Description - Client Administrator

Office Administrator - Finance

Permanent - office based

Up to £26,000 depending on experience

A fantastic local business is looking for a strong administrator to join their team who can bring great organisational and multi-tasking skills. This is a full time role which will be office-based. We are open to people with finance/accountancy assistant or administration experience, or those with general administration experience who are interested in the finance industry.

The position will be responsible for two functions: As administrator to clients, and as the administrator focused on financial compliance activities. All aspects can be trained, and prior finance or anti-money laundering/financial compliance experience is not essential.

Duties will include the following:

  • Posting of sales and purchase invoices daily.
  • Liaising with clients to collect tax and accounting records.
  • Distributing financial documents, including accounts and tax returns.
  • Following up with clients for approvals to ensure timely submissions.
  • Maintaining and update client records internally.
  • Sending tax payment reminders to clients.
  • Performing other administrative and ad-hoc tasks to support the team.
  • Maintain and update anti-money laundering policies and procedures in line with current regulations.
  • Carry out internal audits and risk assessments.
  • Keep detailed and accurate records of all anti-money laundering activity, client reviews, and compliance checks.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities during audits or investigations.
  • Assist with AML software systems and ensure data accuracy.

To be successful in your application, you will have the following skills and experiences:

  • Excel and Xero experience would be useful, but not essential, as full training can be given.
  • Experience in finance administration would be useful, but not essential, as full training can be given.
  • Previous administration experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work at pace, keeping very organised and professional at all times.
  • Excellent communication skills, especially written but also with internal and external relationships.
  • Confident telephone manner, keen to learn and articulate financial jargon.
  • Be a team player, willing to help and support others.
