The Role
We are currently recruiting for a Client Commercial Team Manager to join Hall & Kay, part of JLL, within its Service Division, based in Quinton, Birmingham.
This is a newly created position offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced commercial or contract management professional with a background in Facilities Management (FM). The role will involve managing a team of four, overseeing contract renewals and developing existing client relationships, while proactively identifying opportunities to secure new business and drive commercial growth.
Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, you will play a key role in the retention and expansion of the companys service contract portfolio, covering fire protection and sprinkler systems. Previous experience within fire and sprinkler systems is not essential, as experience in Facilities Management, service contracts and commercial account management will be highly relevant.
Key Responsibilities - Manage, support and develop a team of four responsible for client commercial activities and contract renewals. - Oversee the contract renewal process, ensuring existing agreements are reviewed, negotiated and successfully renewed. - Proactively identify opportunities to secure new business and increase revenue across the service portfolio. - Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, identifying opportunities to expand services and improve retention. - Work closely with internal operational and commercial teams to ensure contracts remain commercially viable and deliver value to clients. - Identify opportunities to improve contract performance, profitability and customer satisfaction. - Monitor contract renewal dates, sales pipelines and commercial opportunities to ensure a proactive approach to account management. - Support commercial negotiations and develop proposals that meet client requirements and business objectives. - Report on team performance, contract renewals, new business opportunities and revenue growth to the Commercial Director. - Contribute to the development of commercial strategies and processes as the newly established team grows.
The Ideal Candidate - Previous experience in Facilities Management, building services or a related service-based industry. - Experience managing or leading a team within contract renewals, commercial account management, service sales or contract management. - A proven ability to retain and renew existing contracts while identifying opportunities to win new business. - Strong commercial awareness, with an understanding of contract profitability, negotiation and revenue generation. - Excellent client relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills. - Confident negotiating commercial agreements and developing proposals. - A proactive, commercially minded approach, with the ability to identify opportunities and drive results. - Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple contracts, priorities and deadlines. - Good communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
Experience in fire protection or sprinkler systems is not essential. Candidates with relevant Facilities Management experience and a strong background in service contracts, renewals and business development are encouraged to apply.
