Job Description - Client Manager

The business
We are delighted to be supporting a fast growing practice firm based in Bolton in the recruitment of a Client Manager. The business pride themselves on delivering proactive and entrepreneurial advice that empowers its clients to thrive.
Due to growth and expansion, the business is looking to appoint an ambitious Client Manager to join its dynamic team.

Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant to take ownership of a diverse client portfolio and support the continued development of a progressive accountancy practice. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow within a supportive, forward-thinking firm.
Duties include:

Manage a portfolio of clients across varying sectors with turnovers up to £60m
Prepare statutory and management accounts
Provide business growth advice tailored to clients’ ambitions
Oversee the preparation and submission of personal and corporate tax returns
Manage and review VAT returns
Train, mentor, and supervise junior team members
Maintain high levels of client service and identify opportunities for additional support
Work closely with the leadership team to help shape the future direction of the practice

Person

AAT Qualified OR ACA / ACCA part qualified, finalist
Experience working within an accountancy practice
Proven experience managing a portfolio of clients
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure, manage competing deadlines, and maintain accuracy
Experience supervising or managing junior staff
Proficient in Xero, Sage, and other leading accountancy software
Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
