Client Manager (Accounting)

Amour Recruitment are pleased to be recruiting for an experienced Client Manager on behalf of our client based in Waterlooville.

As a Client Manager, you'll take ownership of a portfolio of clients whilst leading and mentoring a small team of accountants. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with business owners, provide valuable financial and tax advice, and play a key part in the continued growth of the practice.

Responsibilities:

* Manage a portfolio of Sole Trader, Partnership and Limited Company clients.

* Prepare, review and submit accounts and tax returns.

* Lead, mentor and support a small team of accountants.

* Review accounting and taxation work, providing guidance and technical support.

* Deliver advisory services including cashflow planning, budgeting and tax efficiency advice.

* Conduct year-end meetings and client fee reviews.

* Support new client onboarding and integration into the business.

* Liaise with HMRC and Companies House on behalf of clients.

* Prepare and review bookkeeping, VAT and CIS returns where required.

* Attend networking events and help develop client relationships.

Requirements:

* ACCA, ACA or equivalent professional qualification.

* Minimum 5 years' experience within an accountancy practice environment.

* Strong experience preparing and reviewing accounts and tax returns.

* Previous experience managing a client portfolio and supervising staff.

* Knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks, Dext and/or FreeAgent.

* Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial information clearly.

* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Hours: 36.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Salary: £53,500 - £58,000 per annum
