Client Manager / Accounts Manager - Manchester

Accountancy practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are looking to speak with a driven and experienced ?Client Manager / Accounts Manager who wishes to join one of Manchester's premier firms of chartered accountants.

As an ?Client Manager / Accounts Manager your role will involve managing a diverse portfolio of clients from a wide array of business sectors. You will act as the primary point of contact for your clients and will have responsibility for ensuring that all associated work for them is completed accurately and efficiently.

Aside from the client management aspect of the role, you will be responsible for managing and assisting in the development of a team of accounts staff which will include providing support to them where necessary and reviewing their work.

The ideal candidate will be ICAS / ACCA Qualified (or may be Qualified by Experience) with strong and varied general practice experience. Excellent communication skills are imperative for this role as it is key that you can build and maintain a successful working relationship with multiple clients and with members of your team.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Managing a diverse portfolio of clients from a range of industry sectors

Staff management including reviewing their work and assisting with the appraisal process

Review of Statutory Accounts and Management Accounts

Review of tax computations and returns

Supporting the partners and clients with any bespoke queries and ad hoc project work as required

Acting as primary point of contact for an array of clients

Take responsibility for your own billing, and managing your own workload and that of the team in a timely and efficient manner, while all the time ensuring we exceed client expectations

Skills

ACCA / ICAS Qualified or Qualified by Experience

Practice experience essential

Client management experience

Experience of reviewing work prepared by junior members of staff
