Client Manager/Senior Accountant

A well-established and respected accountancy firm based in Winchmore Hill is seeking a dedicated Senior Accountant / Client Manager to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a newly qualified or experienced accountant to manage a diverse client portfolio, take on leadership responsibilities, and contribute to a collaborative and forward-thinking practice.

• Preparation and finalisation of statutory accounts and corporate tax returns for small and large limited companies and group structures, in accordance with FRS 105, FRS 102, and IFRS.

• Support the UK Portfolio Manager with a range of client work including financial reporting, bookkeeping, and VAT returns.

• Conduct in-depth financial analysis to deliver valuable insights into client business performance.

• Ensure all outputs meet relevant accounting standards and compliance regulations.

• Serve as a key point of contact for the UK Portfolio Manager, building strong client relationships through clear and professional communication.

• Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing review, technical support, and day-to-day guidance.

• Proactively identify opportunities to streamline processes and promote best practices within the team.

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (newly qualified applicants also considered).

• Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP including FRS 105, FRS 102, and IFRS.

• Hands-on experience with accounting software including Xero, QuickBooks, FreeAgent, VT+, Sage, IRIS, and Microsoft Office.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proven ability to manage client relationships and supervise junior team members.

• Self-motivated with a strong eye for detail and the ability to take initiative.
