Talentmark is recruiting a Clinical Bioinformatician to join a global pharmaceutical company on a contract basis, initially for approximately 6 months. This role is hybrid, with 3 days per week in the office in Slough.

Salary:
From £36.55 per hour (PAYE) or £50.27 per hour (Umbrella)

Clinical Bioinformatician Role:

Process, analyse and interpret omics data from clinical portfolio studies to uncover biological mechanisms, treatment effects and safety signals.
Develop analysis methods and pipelines using state-of-the-art tools and technologies.
Document code and analyses, ensuring reproducible results in line with best practice for patient-level data.
Write clear, well-structured reports covering methods and results.
Contribute to scientific publications, including conference abstracts, presentations and manuscripts.Your Background:

Master's degree or PhD in a relevant field, with experience analysing omics data (industry experience preferred).
Strong expertise in analysing large bulk and single-cell RNAseq datasets and deriving biological insights (spatial, epigenomic and proteomic experience is a bonus).
Skilled in functional interpretation of omics data, e.g. pathway enrichment, functional module detection, causal reasoning.
Excellent computational skills: R proficiency, HPC/Unix, cloud or pipelining platforms and Docker (DNAnexus is a plus).
Solid grounding in statistics and data visualisation, plus the ability to communicate findings clearly to expert and non-expert audiences (publication experience preferred).Company:
