Salary:

* £47,000 increasing to £49,000 after 12 months (PIP)

* £50,000 increasing to £51,000 after 12 months (WCA)

Monday–Friday | 9am–5pm | Hybrid | No nights, weekends or bank holidays

As a PIP & WCA Functional Assessor, you'll assess how an individual's health conditions or disabilities affect their daily living, mobility and functional ability, depending on the type of assessment.

No nights. No weekends. No bank holidays. No hands-on care.

The Role:

You'll carry out structured assessments through telephone, video and face-to-face consultations. You will:

* Conduct PIP and/or WCA assessments

* Take detailed clinical histories using structured questioning

* Explore the impact of physical, mental and cognitive conditions

* Assess how health conditions affect daily living, mobility and functional ability

* Review medical evidence and supporting information

* Apply clinical reasoning and professional judgement

* Produce clear, accurate and evidence-based reports

* Manage your own caseload while meeting quality standards and deadlines

The role is focused on assessment, evidence evaluation, clinical reasoning and report writing rather than treatment or hands-on care.

What We're Looking For:

* Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Pharmacist

* Active NMC, HCPC or GPhC registration

* Minimum 12 months' post-registration clinical experience

* Strong clinical assessment and reasoning skills

* Confident communication and report-writing abilities

* Good IT and organisational skills

* Able to analyse information and make evidence-based decisions

Full Training Provided

You don't need previous Functional Assessor experience.

You'll receive structured, fully paid training covering assessment methodology, evidence evaluation, clinical reasoning and report writing, helping you transfer your existing clinical experience into a new assessment-focused career.
