Deputy Manager (Clinical) – Nursing Home Sudbury, Suffolk £50,000 per annum

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established care provider for an experienced Clinical Deputy Manager to join a high-quality nursing home in Sudbury. The Home provides high-quality residential, nursing, dementia and respite care in a welcoming and supportive environment. The Role As Clinical Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Home Manager to ensure the delivery of safe, effective and compassionate care to residents. You will provide strong clinical leadership to nursing and care teams, promoting high standards of practice and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. You will play a key role in maintaining clinical governance, supporting staff development, conducting audits, reviewing care plans and overseeing medication management. In the absence of the Home Manager, you will take responsibility for the operational and clinical management of the service.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting the Home Manager with the day-to-day running of the home Providing clinical leadership and supervision to nursing and care teams Ensuring residents receive high-quality, person-centred care Conducting clinical audits and monitoring quality standards Reviewing, updating and evaluating care plans Overseeing medication management and clinical documentation Supporting pre-admission assessments and risk assessments Liaising with healthcare professionals, families and external agencies Ensuring compliance with CQC regulations and best practice standards Promoting a positive culture focused on resident wellbeing and continuous improvementAbout You To be successful in this role, you will have:
Active NMC registration Previous experience as a Deputy Manager within a nursing home environment Strong clinical knowledge and leadership skills Good working knowledge of CQC standards and regulatory requirements Experience managing clinical governance processes and audits Excellent communication and relationship-building skills A passion for delivering outstanding care and improving resident outcomes Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and referral pathwaysWhat's on Offer?
