Job Description - Clinical Support Manager

Clinical Support Manager
6-Month FTC
Waterlooville & Service-Based Travel
Full Time
£60,0000

About the Role

My client is looking for an experienced Clinical Support Manager to join a dedicated Quality & Compliance Team on an initial 6-month fixed-term contract, with the potential for the position to become permanent.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Registered General Nurse (RGN) with strong clinical experience who is looking to take the next step in their career and have a wider influence across multiple care services.

Reporting to the Head of Quality Assurance, you will play a key role in promoting high standards of clinical practice, supporting care teams and ensuring residents receive safe, effective and truly person-centred care.

You’ll work with individuals with complex neurodegenerative and mental health conditions, providing clinical expertise, guidance and support while helping to drive best practice, clinical governance and continuous improvement.

Your Working Pattern

Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm

The role is based from Waterlooville, with regular travel required across the organisation's services.

A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are therefore essential.

Key Responsibilities

As Clinical Support Manager, you will:

* Lead and promote high standards of clinical practice across multiple services.

* Ensure clinical practice remains compliant with relevant legislation, regulations and best practice guidance.

* Provide clinical guidance and support to Managers and care teams.

* Support the development and delivery of high-quality, person-centred care plans.

* Provide clinical supervision, coaching and professional support to staff.

* Carry out clinical audits, investigations and reviews, including safeguarding concerns.

* Analyse clinical governance information to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.

* Support CQC readiness and contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives.

* Deliver engaging clinical training and competency assessments.

* Champion effective use of clinical systems, including Nourish, Camascope eMAR, Radar Healthcare and QCS.

* Act as a positive clinical role model, helping teams maintain consistently high standards of care.

About You

I’m looking for a confident and experienced clinical professional who can combine strong nursing expertise with the ability to influence, coach and support teams.

Essential experience and qualifications:

* Registered General Nurse (RGN) with current and valid NMC registration.

* At least 2 years’ relevant clinical experience.

* Minimum of 5 years’ experience working clinically with individuals who have additional support needs.

* Strong experience supporting people with neurodegenerative and mental health conditions.

* Sound knowledge of:

* Safeguarding and clinical governance.

* CQC standards and the Single Assessment Framework.

* Mental Capacity Act 2005.

* Mental Health Act, including Section 117 aftercare.

* Good IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office.

* Enhanced DBS, or willingness to obtain one.

Desirable Experience

It would also be advantageous if you have:

* Previous experience working within a quality, compliance or clinical governance-focused role.

* Knowledge of CHC, FNC, ICB and Local Authority funding processes.

This is more than a traditional clinical position. It’s an opportunity to use your nursing experience to influence clinical standards across multiple services, develop and support care teams, contribute to clinical governance and drive meaningful improvements in the quality of care provided to residents.

If you’re an experienced RGN looking for a role where your clinical knowledge, leadership skills and passion for high-quality care can make a wider impact, I’d love to hear from you.
